Uniprot Description

DDEF1: Possesses phosphatidylinositol 4,5-bisphosphate- dependent GTPase-activating protein activity for ARF1 (ADP ribosylation factor 1) and ARF5 and a lesser activity towards ARF6. May coordinate membrane trafficking with cell growth or actin cytoskeleton remodeling by binding to both SRC and PIP2. May function as a signal transduction protein involved in the differentiation of fibroblasts into adipocytes and possibly other cell types. Plays a role in ciliogenesis. 2 isoforms of the human protein are produced by alternative splicing.

Protein type: GAPs; GAPs, ARF; Motility/polarity/chemotaxis

Cellular Component: membrane; cytoplasm

Molecular Function: protein binding; phosphatidylinositol-4,5-bisphosphate binding; phosphatidylinositol-3,4,5-triphosphate binding; zinc ion binding; metal ion binding; GTPase activator activity

Product Notes

The ASAP1 asap1 (Catalog #AAA668111) is an Antibody produced from Rabbit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The ASAP1 Polyclonal Antibody reacts with Human (Predicted Reactivity: Mouse and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's ASAP1 can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Western Blot (WB). Western Blot: 2-4 µg/ml. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the ASAP1 asap1 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "ASAP1, Polyclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
