NCBI and Uniprot Product Information
NCBI Description
This gene encodes a protein that belongs to a family of cytoplasmic proteins that activate the Ras-like family of Rho proteins by exchanging bound GDP for GTP. It forms a complex with the small GTP binding protein Rac1 and recruits Rac1 to membrane ruffles and to focal adhesions. Multiple alternatively spliced transcript variants encoding different isoforms have been observed for this gene. [provided by RefSeq, Mar 2016]
Uniprot Description
ARHGEF7: a RAC1 guanine nucleotide exchange factor (GEF). Can induce membrane ruffling. Interacts with PAK kinases through its SH3 domain. Acts both as an activator and a downstream target for Cdc42. Its EGF-dependent phosphorylation activates its nucleotide exchange factor for Cdc42 and regulates its interaction with the E3 ligase Cbl, thus modulating Cbl-catalysed EGFR degradation. Its phosphorylation status is necessary to maintain the balance between normal signaling by EGFR and Src versus aberrant growth and transformation. Four alternatively spliced isoforms have been described.

Product Notes
The ARHGEF7 arhgef7 (Catalog #AAA540735) is an Antibody produced from Rabbit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The ARHGEF7 Antibody reacts with Human, Mouse, Rat and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's ARHGEF7 can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, ELISA (EIA), Immunoprecipitation (IP), Western Blot (WB). Dot Blot: 1:10,000 ELISA: 1:10,000 Immunoprecipitation: 1:200 Western Blot: 1:500. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the ARHGEF7 arhgef7 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "ARHGEF7, Polyclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.Precautions
