Rabbit anti-Human APOC3 Polyclonal Antibody | anti-APOC3 antibody
APOC3 (Apolipoprotein C-III, Apo-CIII, ApoC-III, Apolipoprotein C3) (FITC)
Applications are based on unconjugated antibody.
Immunohistochemistry (IHC)
(Immunohistochemistry Analysis: Representative lot data. Paraffin-embedded hepatocytes in normal human liver was prepared using heat-induced epitope retrieval in citrate buffer, pH 6.0. Immunostaining was performed using a 1:200 dilution of Apolipoprotein C-III. Reactivity was detected using the IHC-Select Detection Kit Immunohistochemistry Analysis: Representative lot data. Western Blot (WB)
(Western Blotting Analysis: Representative lot data. Normal human sera was probed with Anti-Apolipoprotein C-III (0.1ug/ml). Proteins were visualized using a Donkey Anti-Rabbit IgG secondary antibody conjugated to HRP and a chemiluminescence detection system. Arrow indicates Apolipoprotein C-III (~14kD).)
NCBI and Uniprot Product Information
NCBI Description
This gene encodes a protein component of triglyceride (TG)-rich lipoproteins (TRLs) including very low density lipoproteins (VLDL), high density lipoproteins (HDL) and chylomicrons. The encoded protein plays a role in role in the metabolism of these TRLs through multiple modes. This protein has been shown to promote the secretion of VLDL1, inhibit lipoprotein lipase enzyme activity, and delay catabolism of TRL remnants. Mutations in this gene are associated with low plasma triglyceride levels and reduced risk of ischemic cardiovascular disease, and hyperalphalipoproteinemia, which is characterized by elevated levels of high density lipoprotein (HDL) and HDL cholesterol in human patients. This gene and other related genes comprise an apolipoprotein gene cluster on chromosome 11. [provided by RefSeq, Sep 2017]
Uniprot Description
APOC3: Inhibits lipoprotein lipase and hepatic lipase and decreases the uptake of lymph chylomicrons by hepatic cells. This suggests that it delays the catabolism of triglyceride-rich particles. Defects in APOC3 are the cause of hyperalphalipoproteinemia type 2 (HALP2). HALP2 is a condition characterized by high levels of high density lipoprotein (HDL) and increased HDL cholesterol levels. Belongs to the apolipoprotein C3 family.

Product Notes
The APOC3 apoc3 (Catalog #AAA6444548) is an Antibody produced from Rabbit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The APOC3 (Apolipoprotein C-III, Apo-CIII, ApoC-III, Apolipoprotein C3) (FITC) reacts with Human and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's APOC3 can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Immunohistochemistry (IHC) Paraffin, Western Blot (WB). IHC-P: 1:200 Applications are based on unconjugated antibody. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the APOC3 apoc3 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "APOC3, Polyclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.Precautions
