Rabbit anti-Human ALDH3B1 Polyclonal Antibody | anti-ALDH3B1 antibody
ALDH3B1, ID (Aldehyde Dehydrogenase Family 3 Member B1, Aldehyde Dehydrogenase 7, ALDH7) (Biotin)
ELISA: 1:1,000
Applications are based on unconjugated antibody.
Western Blot (WB)
(Western blot analysis of ALDH3B1 Antibody (Center) in MDA-MB231 cell line lysates (35ug/lane). ALDH3B1 (arrow) was detected using the purified Pab.)
Western Blot (WB)
(Western blot analysis of ALDH3B1 (arrow) using rabbit polyclonal ALDH3B1 Antibody (Center). 293 cell lysates (2 ug/lane) either nontransfected (Lane 1) or transiently transfected (Lane 2) with the ALDH3B1 gene.)
Immunohistochemistry (IHC)
(Formalin-fixed and paraffin-embedded human lung carcinoma reacted with ALDH3B1 Antibody (Center), which was peroxidase-conjugated to the secondary antibody, followed by DAB staining. This data demonstrates the use of this antibody for immunohistochemistry; clinical relevance has not been evaluated.)
NCBI and Uniprot Product Information
NCBI Description
The aldehyde dehydrogenases are a family of isozymes that may play a major role in the detoxification of aldehydes generated by alcohol metabolism and lipid peroxidation. This particular gene spans about 20 kb of genomic DNA and is composed of 9 coding exons. The gene is highly expressed in kidney and lung. The functional significance of this gene as well as the cellular localization of its product are presently unknown. Alternatively spliced transcript variants encoding different isoforms have been found for this gene. [provided by RefSeq, Jun 2009]
Uniprot Description
ALDH3B1: Oxidizes medium and long chain saturated and unsaturated aldehydes. Metabolizes also benzaldehyde. Low activity towards acetaldehyde and 3,4-dihydroxyphenylacetaldehyde. May not metabolize short chain aldehydes. May use both NADP(+) and NAD(+) as cofactors. May have a protective role against the cytotoxicity induced by lipid peroxidation. Belongs to the aldehyde dehydrogenase family. 2 isoforms of the human protein are produced by alternative splicing.
Protein type: Amino Acid Metabolism - tyrosine; Carbohydrate Metabolism - glycolysis and gluconeogenesis; EC 1.2.1.5; Oxidoreductase; Xenobiotic Metabolism - drug metabolism - cytochrome P450; Xenobiotic Metabolism - metabolism by cytochrome P450; Amino Acid Metabolism - histidine; Amino Acid Metabolism - phenylalanine

The ALDH3B1, ID (Aldehyde Dehydrogenase Family 3 Member B1, Aldehyde Dehydrogenase 7, ALDH7) (Biotin) reacts with Human and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's ALDH3B1 can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Western Blot (WB), ELISA (EIA). WB: 1:100-1:500 ELISA: 1:1,000 Applications are based on unconjugated antibody. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the ALDH3B1 aldh3b1 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "ALDH3B1, Polyclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.Precautions
