Western Blot (WB)
(Western Blot analysis of lysates (35ug/lane) from HepG2 cell line and human lung tissue lysate (from left to right), using MBS624608 (1:1000/lane). An IgG H&L (HRP) goat anti-rabbit (1:5000) was used as the secondary antibody.)
Immunohistochemistry (IHC)
(Immunohistochemistry analysis in formalin fixed and paraffin embedded human hepatocarcinoma using MBS624608 followed by peroxidase conjugation of the secondary antibody and DAB staining.)
Immunofluorescence (IF)
(Fluorescent confocal image of HepG2 cells were fixed with 4% PFA (20 min), permeabilized with Triton X-100 (0.2%, 30 min). Cells were then incubated with MBS624608 (1:100, 2 h at RT). For secondary antibody, Alexa Fluor® 488 conjugated donkey anti-rabbit antibody (green) was used (1:1000, 1h). Nuclei were counterstained with Hoechst 33342 (blue) (10ug/ml, 5 min). ALDH1A1 immunoreactivity is localized to the cytoplasm of HepG2 cells.)
NCBI and Uniprot Product Information
NCBI Description
The protein encoded by this gene belongs to the aldehyde dehydrogenase family. Aldehyde dehydrogenase is the next enzyme after alcohol dehydrogenase in the major pathway of alcohol metabolism. There are two major aldehyde dehydrogenase isozymes in the liver, cytosolic and mitochondrial, which are encoded by distinct genes, and can be distinguished by their electrophoretic mobility, kinetic properties, and subcellular localization. This gene encodes the cytosolic isozyme. Studies in mice show that through its role in retinol metabolism, this gene may also be involved in the regulation of the metabolic responses to high-fat diet. [provided by RefSeq]

AAA Biotech's ALDH1A1 can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, ELISA (EL/EIA), Western Blot (WB), Immunofluorescence (IF), Flow Cyotmetry (FC/FACS), Immunohistochemistry (IHC). Other applications not tested. ELISA: 1:1,000 Western Blot: 1:1000 Immunofluorescence: 1:100 Flow Cytometry: 1:10-1:50 Immunohistochemistry (FFPE): 1:50-1:100 Optimal dilutions to be dtermined by the researcher. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the ALDH1A1 aldh1a1 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "ALDH1A1, Polyclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.Precautions
