Related Product Information for anti-AGTRAP antibody
This gene encodes a transmembrane protein localized to the plasma membrane and perinuclear vesicular structures. The gene product interacts with the angiotensin II type I receptor and negatively regulates angiotensin II signaling. Alternative splicing of this gene generates multiple transcript variants encoding different isoforms. [provided by RefSeq, Jul 2008]

Uniprot Description

AGTRAP: Appears to be a negative regulator of type-1 angiotensin II receptor-mediated signaling by regulating receptor internalisation as well as mechanism of receptor desensitization such as phosphorylation. Induces also a decrease in cell proliferation and angiotensin II-stimulated transcriptional activity. 5 isoforms of the human protein are produced by alternative splicing.

Protein type: Endoplasmic reticulum; Membrane protein, integral; Membrane protein, multi-pass

Cellular Component: nucleoplasm; Golgi apparatus; membrane; intracellular membrane-bound organelle; endoplasmic reticulum; cytoplasm; integral to membrane; plasma membrane; cytoplasmic vesicle; cell cortex

Molecular Function: protein binding; angiotensin type II receptor activity

Biological Process: regulation of blood pressure

Product Notes

The AGTRAP agtrap (Catalog #AAA416215) is an Antibody produced from Rabbit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The Anti-AGTRAP Antibody reacts with Human. Not yet tested in other species and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's AGTRAP can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, ELISA (EIA), Immunohistochemistry (IHC). Peptide ELISA titer: 1:1,000-1:10,000 Immunohistochemistry: 1:50-200 Optimal dilutions/concentrations should be determined by the end user. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the AGTRAP agtrap for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "AGTRAP, Polyclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
