Related Product Information for anti-ADD1 antibody
The alpha-adducin (ADD1) is a subunit of adducin which is a cytoskeleton heterodimeric protein. Adducin participates in oocytes chromosome meiosis of mice, prompting adducin has an effect on embryonic development. Adipocyte determination-and differentiation-dependent factor 1 (ADD1) plays important roles in lipid metabolism and insulin-dependent gene expression. Because insulin stimulates carbohydrate and lipid synthesis, it would be important to decipher how the transcriptional activity of ADD1/SREBP1c is regulated in the insulin signaling pathway. Adipocyte determination and differentiation dependent factor 1 (ADD1)/sterol regulatory element binding protein isoform (SREBP1c) is a key transcription factor in fatty acid metabolism and insulin-dependent gene expression. Adipocyte determination and differentiation-dependent factor 1 (ADD1) is a member of the basic helix-loop-helix leucine zipper (bHLH-LZ) family of transcription factors that binds to two distinct DNA sequences and has been associated with both adipocyte development and cholesterol homeostasis (where it has been termed SREBP1).

Product Notes

The ADD1 (Catalog #AAA8108505) is an Antibody produced from Rabbit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The Anti-ADD1/adducin 1 Antibody, Rabbit Polyclonal reacts with Human and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's ADD1/adducin 1 can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Western Blot (WB), Immunohistochemistry-Paraffin (IHC-P), Immunocytochemistry (ICC), Immunofluorescence (IF), Immunoprecipitation (IP). WB: 1:500-1:2000 IHC-P: 1:1000-1:5000 ICC/IF: 1:100-1:500 IP: 1-5uL/mg of lysate. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the ADD1 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "ADD1/adducin 1, Polyclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
