• Application Notes: Peptide ELISA: Antibody detection limit dilution 1: 32000.; Western Blot: Preliminary experiments gave an approx 70kDa band in Human Brain (Cerebellum and Frontal Cortex) lysates after 0.7ug/ml antibody staining. Please note that currently we cannot find an explanation in the literature for the band we observe. The precursor of this glycoprotein has a calculated size of 91.9kDa according to NP_003803.1. The 70kDa band was successfully blocked by incubation with the immunizing peptide.

This gene encodes a member of the ADAM (a disintegrin and metalloprotease domain) family. Members of this family are membrane-anchored proteins structurally related to snake venom disintegrins and have been implicated in a variety of biological processes involving cell-cell and cell-matrix interactions, including fertilization, muscle development, and neurogenesis.
