Rabbit anti-Human, Rat Acid Sensing Ion Channels 4 Polyclonal Antibody | anti-ACCN4 antibody
Acid Sensing Ion Channels 4 (ASIC4)
Purified by immunoaffinity chromatography.
Purified by immunoaffinity chromatography.
Dilution: Western Blot: 1-10ug/ml (ECL)
ELISA: 0.5-1ug/ml. Coat ELISA plates at 1ug/ml with Control Peptide.
The mammalian homolog of degenerins (MDEG or MDEG1; now designated ASICs for Acid Sensing Ion Channels). Three are at least 4 distinct proteins in ASIC family ASIC1-4. AISC4/SPASIC (human 539/666aa, chromosome 2; rat 539aa, ~97% homology between rat and human) is strongly expressed in pituitary and also detected in most areas of brain. ASIC4 is the most divergent member of ASIC family showing only 45% identity with ASIC1-3. ASIC4 is not activated by low pH. It may associate with other ASICs to form a functional channel.
NCBI and Uniprot Product Information
NCBI Description
This gene belongs to the superfamily of acid-sensing ion channels, which are proton-gated, amiloride-sensitive sodium channels. These channels have been implicated in synaptic transmission, pain perception as well as mechanoperception. This gene is predominantly expressed in the pituitary gland, and was considered a candidate for paroxysmal dystonic choreoathetosis (PDC), a movement disorder, however, no correlation was found between mutations in this gene and PDC. Alternative splicing at this locus results in two transcript variants encoding different isoforms. [provided by RefSeq]
Uniprot Description
ASIC4: Probable cation channel with high affinity for sodium. In vitro, has no proton-gated channel activity. Belongs to the amiloride-sensitive sodium channel (TC 1.A.6) family. ASIC4 subfamily. 3 isoforms of the human protein are produced by alternative splicing.

Product Notes
The ACCN4 accn4 (Catalog #AAA611363) is an Antibody produced from Rabbit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The Acid Sensing Ion Channels 4 (ASIC4) reacts with Human, Rat and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's Acid Sensing Ion Channels 4 can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, ELISA (EL/EIA), Western Blot (WB). Suitable for use in Western Blot and ELISA. Dilution: Western Blot: 1-10ug/ml (ECL) ELISA: 0.5-1ug/ml. Coat ELISA plates at 1ug/ml with Control Peptide. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the ACCN4 accn4 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "Acid Sensing Ion Channels 4, Polyclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.Precautions
