Related Product Information for PNLIPRP1 / PLRP1 recombinant protein
Background: PNLIPRP1, also known as PLRP1, belongs to the AB hydrolase superfamily, Lipase family. PNLIPRP1 is structurally similar to PLRP2. However, these two proteins display different functional properties. PNLIPRP1 may function as inhibitor of dietary triglyceride digestion. It lacks detectable lipase activity towards triglycerides, diglycerides, phosphatidylcholine, galactolipids or cholesterol esters. PLRP2 hydrolyses milk fat with a lower catalytic efficiency than that of PL. PLRP2 activity, higher on homogenized than on native milk fat, is differently influenced by fatty acids and colipase depending on a proteolytic cleavage in the lid domain.

Description: A DNA sequence encoding the human PNLIPRP1 (AAH25784.1) (Met1-Cys467) was expressed with a C-terminal polyhistidine tag.

Product Notes

The PNLIPRP1 / PLRP1 pnliprp1 (Catalog #AAA2545280) is a Recombinant Protein produced from Human Cells and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The recombinant human PNLIPRP1 comprises 461 amino acids and has a predicted molecular mass of 51.4 kDa. The apparent molecular mass of the protein is approximately 44-48 kDa in SDS-PAGE under reducing conditions. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the PNLIPRP1 / PLRP1 pnliprp1 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "PNLIPRP1 / PLRP1, Recombinant Protein" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
