Related Product Information for PLCg1 elisa kit
Principle of the Assay: PLCg1 ELISA kit applies the competitive enzyme immunoassay technique utilizing a monoclonal anti-PLCg1 antibody and an PLCg1-HRP conjugate. The assay sample and buffer are incubated together with PLCg1-HRP conjugate in pre-coated plate for one hour. After the incubation period, the wells are decanted and washed five times. The wells are then incubated with a substrate for HRP enzyme. The product of the enzyme-substrate reaction forms a blue colored complex. Finally, a stop solution is added to stop the reaction, which will then turn the solution yellow. The intensity of color is measured spectrophotometrically at 450nm in a microplate reader. The intensity of the color is inversely proportional to the PLCg1 concentration since PLCg1 from samples and PLCg1-HRP conjugate compete for the anti-PLCg1 antibody binding site. Since the number of sites is limited, as more sites are occupied by PLCg1 from the sample, fewer sites are left to bind PLCg1-HRP conjugate. A standard curve is plotted relating the intensity of the color (O.D.) to the concentration of standards. The PLCg1 concentration in each sample is interpolated from this standard curve.

NCBI Description

The protein encoded by this gene catalyzes the formation of inositol 1,4,5-trisphosphate and diacylglycerol from phosphatidylinositol 4,5-bisphosphate. This reaction uses calcium as a cofactor and plays an important role in the intracellular transduction of receptor-mediated tyrosine kinase activators. For example, when activated by SRC, the encoded protein causes the Ras guanine nucleotide exchange factor RasGRP1 to translocate to the Golgi, where it activates Ras. Also, this protein has been shown to be a major substrate for heparin-binding growth factor 1 (acidic fibroblast growth factor)-activated tyrosine kinase. Two transcript variants encoding different isoforms have been found for this gene. [provided by RefSeq, Jul 2008]

Uniprot Description

PLCG1: a calcium dependent phosphatidylinositol-specific phospholipase C. The activated enzyme produces the second messenger molecules diacylglycerol and inositol 1,4,5-trisphosphate. Phosphorylated and activated by tyrosine kinases in response to signaling through a variety of growth factor receptors and immune system receptors.

Product Notes

The Goat PLCg1 plcg1 (Catalog #AAA740976) is an ELISA Kit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The AAA740976 ELISA Kit recognizes Goat PLCg1. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "Phospholipase C Gamma 1, ELISA Kit" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
