Stability Test: The thermal stability is described by the loss rate of the targetprotein. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37 degree C for 48h, and no obvious degradation andprecipitation were observed. The loss of this protein is less than 5% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
NCBI and Uniprot Product Information
NCBI Description
Phosphoglyceric acid mutase (EC 2.7.5.3) is widely distributed in mammalian tissues where it catalyzes the reversible reaction of 3-phosphoglycerate (3-PGA) to 2-phosphoglycerate (2-PGA) in the glycolytic pathway (summary by Chen et al., 1974 [PubMed 4811757]).[supplied by OMIM, Nov 2010]
Uniprot Description
PGAM1: Interconversion of 3- and 2-phosphoglycerate with 2,3- bisphosphoglycerate as the primer of the reaction. Can also catalyze the reaction of EC 5.4.2.4 (synthase) and EC 3.1.3.13 (phosphatase), but with a reduced activity. Homodimer. In mammalian tissues there are two types of phosphoglycerate mutase isozymes: type-M in muscles and type-B in other tissues. Belongs to the phosphoglycerate mutase family. BPG- dependent PGAM subfamily.
Protein type: EC 5.4.2.4; Isomerase; Carbohydrate Metabolism - glycolysis and gluconeogenesis; Phosphatase (non-protein); EC 5.4.2.11; EC 3.1.3.13
Chromosomal Location of Human Ortholog: 10q25.3
Cellular Component: membrane; cytoplasm; cytosol
Molecular Function: protein binding; phosphoglycerate mutase activity; bisphosphoglycerate mutase activity; bisphosphoglycerate phosphatase activity; protein kinase binding

It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "Phosphoglycerate Mutase 1, Recombinant Protein" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
