Related Product Information for OR9A1P elisa kit
Principle of the Assay: This assay employs a two-site sandwich ELISA to quantitate OR9A1P in samples. An antibody specific for OR9A1P has been pre-coated onto a microplate. Standards and samples are pipetted into the wells and anyOR9A1P present is bound by the immobilized antibody. After removing any unbound substances, a biotin-conjugated antibody specific for OR9A1P is added to the wells. After washing, Streptavidin conjugated Horseradish Peroxidase (HRP) is added to the wells. Following a wash to remove any unbound avidin-enzyme reagent, a substrate solution is added to the wells and color develops in proportion to the amount of OR9A1P bound in the initial step. The color development is stopped and the intensity of the color is measured.

NCBI Description

Olfactory receptors interact with odorant molecules in the nose, to initiate a neuronal response that triggers the perception of a smell. The olfactory receptor proteins are members of a large family of G-protein-coupled receptors (GPCR) arising from single coding-exon genes. Olfactory receptors share a 7-transmembrane domain structure with many neurotransmitter and hormone receptors and are responsible for the recognition and G protein-mediated transduction of odorant signals. The olfactory receptor gene family is the largest in the genome. The nomenclature assigned to the olfactory receptor genes and proteins for this organism is independent of other organisms. Product Notes

The Human OR9A1P or9a1p (Catalog #AAA283537) is an ELISA Kit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The AAA283537 ELISA Kit recognizes Human OR9A1P. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "Putative olfactory receptor 9A1, ELISA Kit" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
