Stability Test: The thermal stability is described by the loss rate of the targetprotein. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37 degree C for 48h, and no obvious degradation andprecipitation were observed. (Referring from China Biological Products Standard, which was calculated by the Arrhenius equation.) The loss of this protein is lessthan 5% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
NCBI and Uniprot Product Information
NCBI Description
involved in the induction of cytochrome P4503A (CYP3A) [RGD, Feb 2006]
Uniprot Description
PXR: Nuclear receptor that binds and is activated by variety of endogenous and xenobiotic compounds. Transcription factor that activates the transcription of multiple genes involved in the metabolism and secretion of potentially harmful xenobiotics, drugs and endogenous compounds. Activated by the antibiotic rifampicin and various plant metabolites, such as hyperforin, guggulipid, colupulone, and isoflavones. Response to specific ligands is species-specific. Activated by naturally occurring steroids, such as pregnenolone and progesterone. Binds to a response element in the promoters of the CYP3A4 and ABCB1/MDR1 genes. Heterodimer with RXR. Interacts with NCOA1. Expressed in liver, colon and small intestine. Belongs to the nuclear hormone receptor family. NR1 subfamily. 7 isoforms of the human protein are produced by alternative splicing.
Protein type: DNA-binding; Nuclear receptor
Cellular Component: nucleus
Molecular Function: ligand-dependent nuclear receptor activity; zinc ion binding; steroid hormone receptor activity; drug binding
Biological Process: intracellular receptor-mediated signaling pathway; transcription, DNA-dependent; xenobiotic metabolic process; drug export; positive regulation of transcription, DNA-dependent; exogenous drug catabolic process; steroid hormone mediated signaling; xenobiotic transport; positive regulation of transcription from RNA polymerase II promoter; negative regulation of transcription, DNA-dependent

It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "Pregnane X Receptor (PXR), Recombinant Protein" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.Precautions
