Human Cyclic AMP dependent transcription factor ATF 5 (ATF5) ELISA Kit | ATF5 elisa kit
Human Cyclic AMP dependent transcription factor ATF 5 (ATF5) ELISA Kit
Principle of the Assay: ATF4 ELISA kit applies the competitive enzyme immunoassay technique utilizing a polyclonal anti-ATF4 antibody and an ATF4-HRP conjugate. The assay sample and buffer are incubated together with ATF4-HRP conjugate in pre-coated plate for one hour. After the incubation period, the wells are decanted and washed five times. The wells are then incubated with a substrate for HRP enzyme. The product of the enzyme-substrate reaction forms a blue colored complex. Finally, a stop solution is added to stop the reaction, which will then turn the solution yellow. The intensity of color is measured spectrophotometrically at 450nm in a microplate reader. The intensity of the color is inversely proportional to the ATF4 concentration since ATF4 from samples and ATF4-HRP conjugate compete for the anti-ATF4 antibody binding site. Since the number of sites is limited, as more sites are occupied by ATF4 from the sample, fewer sites are left to bind ATF4-HRP conjugate. A standard curve is plotted relating the intensity of the color (O.D.) to the concentration of standards. The ATF4 concentration in each sample is interpolated from this standard curve.
NCBI and Uniprot Product Information
Uniprot Description
ATF-5: Transcriptional activator which binds the cAMP response element (CRE) (consensus: 5'-GTGACGT[AC][AG]-3'), a sequence present in many viral and cellular promoters and blocks the differentiation of neuroprogenitor cells into neurons. Its transcriptional activity is enhanced by CCND3 and slightly inhibited by CDK4. Belongs to the bZIP family.
Protein type: DNA-binding

Product Notes
The Human ATF5 atf5 (Catalog #AAA7218397) is an ELISA Kit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The AAA7218397 ELISA Kit recognizes Human ATF5. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "Cyclic AMP dependent transcription factor ATF 5 (ATF5), ELISA Kit" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.Precautions
