Preparation and Storage
Avoid repeated freeze/thaw cycles. Store at 2-8 degree C for one month. Aliquot and store at -80 degree C for 12 months.
Stability Test: The thermal stability is described by the loss rate of the target protein. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37 degree C for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. (Referring from China Biological Products Standard, which was calculated by the Arrhenius equation.) The loss of this protein is lessthan 5% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.

NCBI Description

The myosin II molecule is a multi-subunit complex consisting of two heavy chains and four light chains. This gene encodes a heavy chain of myosin II, which is a member of the motor-domain superfamily. The heavy chain includes a globular motor domain, which catalyzes ATP hydrolysis and interacts with actin, and a tail domain in which heptad repeat sequences promote dimerization by interacting to form a rod-like alpha-helical coiled coil. This heavy chain subunit is a slow-twitch myosin. Alternatively spliced transcript variants have been found, but the full-length nature of these variants is not determined. [provided by RefSeq, Mar 2010]

Uniprot Description

MYH7B: Involved in muscle contraction. Muscle myosin is a hexameric protein that consists of 2 heavy chain subunits (MHC), 2 alkali light chain subunits (MLC) and 2 regulatory light chain subunits (MLC-2). 3 isoforms of the human protein are produced by alternative splicing.

Product Notes

The MYH7B myh7b (Catalog #AAA2033114) is a Recombinant Protein produced from E Coli and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. AAA Biotech's Myosin Heavy Chain 7B, Cardiac Muscle Beta can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, SDS-PAGE, Western (WB), ELISA (EIA), Immunoprecipitation (IP). Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the MYH7B myh7b for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. The amino acid sequence is listed below: NA VKNWSWMKLF FKMKPLLRSA QAEEELAALR AELRGLRGAL AAAEAKRQEL EETHVSITQE KNDLALQLQA EQDNLADAEE RCHLLIKSKV QLEGKVKELS ERLEDEEEVN ADLAARRRKL EDECTELKKD IDDLKLTLAK AEKEKQATEN KVKNLTEEMA ALDESVARLT KEKKALQEAH QQALGDLQAE EDRVSALTKA KLRLEQQVED LECSLEQEKK LRMDTERAKR KLEGDLKLTQ ESVADAAQDK QQLEEKLKKK DSELSQLSLR VEDEQL. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "Myosin Heavy Chain 7B, Cardiac Muscle Beta, Recombinant Protein" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
