RTU ELISA Kit's Advantage
The Ready-To-Use (RTU) Kits require fewer steps in setup and take less time to run. Detection Solutions are pre-diluted and total incubation time is shorter than many other ELISA Kits.
Preparation and Storage
For unopened kits: All the reagents should be kept at 4 degree C upon receipt.
For opened kits: Once the kit is opened, the remaining reagents still need to be stored according to the above storage conditions. In addition, return the unused wells to the foil pouch containing the desiccant pack and reseal along entire edge of zip-seal.
Related Product Information for CT rtu elisa kit
Test Principle: This assay employs the competitive inhibition enzyme immunoassay technique. A monoclonal antibody specific to CT has been pre-coated onto a microplate. A competitive inhibition reaction is launched between biotin labeled CT and unlabeled CT (Standards or samples) with the pre-coated antibody specific to CT. After incubation the unbound conjugate is washed off. Next, Avidin conjugated to Horseradish Peroxidase (HRP) is added to each microplate well and incubated. The amount of bound HRP conjugate is reverse proportional to the concentration of CT in the sample. After addition of the substrate solution, the intensity of color developed is reverse proportional to the concentration of CT in the sample.

NCBI Description

This gene encodes the peptide hormones calcitonin, calcitonin gene-related peptide (CGRP) and katacalcin. Alternative splicing of the mRNA results in multiple variants that encode either calcitonin or CGRP preproproteins. Post-translational processing of the calcitonin and CGRP propeptides results in either calcitonin and katacalcin, or CGRP, respectively. Calcitonin and katacalcin modulate calcium levels in the blood stream. CGRP can function as a vasodilator and play a role in the transmission of pain. The human homolog of CGRP was found to have antimicrobial activity. [provided by RefSeq, Mar 2015]

Uniprot Description

Causes a rapid but short-lived drop in the level of calcium and phosphate in blood by promoting the incorporation of those ions in the bones.

Product Notes

The Mouse CT calca (Catalog #AAA458643) is a RTU ELISA Kit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The AAA458643 RTU ELISA Kit recognizes Mouse CT. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "Calcitonin (CT), RTU ELISA Kit" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
