Mouse Thyrotropin-Releasing Hormone (TRH) ELISA Kit | TRH elisa kit
Mouse Thyrotropin-Releasing Hormone (TRH) ELISA Kit
* Allow all reagents to warm to room temperature for at least 30 minutes before opening.
* Pre-rinse the pipet tip with reagent, use fresh pipet tips for each sample, standard and reagent to avoid contamination.
* Unused wells must be kept desiccated at 4 degree C in the sealed bag provided.
* Mix Thoroughly is very important for the result. It is recommended using low frequency oscillator or slight hand shaking every 10 minutes.
* It is recommended that all samples and standards be assayed in duplicate or triplicate.
Background: Thyrotropin releasing hormone, a hormone secreted by the hypothalamus that stimulates release of thyrotropin. TRH can also be detected in other areas of the body including the gastrointestinal system and pancreatic islets. Thyroid-stimulating hormone, also known as thyrotropin, is secreted from cells in the anterior pituitary called thyrotrophs. The most important controller of TSH secretion is thyroid-releasing hormone. TRH is produced by the hypothalamus in medial neurons of the paraventricular nucleus. Initially, it is synthesized as a 242 amino acid precursor polypeptide that contains 6 copies of the sequence -Gln-His-Pro-Gly-, flanked by di-basic peptides that are later processed through proteolysis to give the mature TRH molecule.
NCBI and Uniprot Product Information
NCBI Description
This gene encodes a member of the thyrotropin-releasing hormone family. Cleavage of the encoded proprotein releases mature thyrotropin-releasing hormone, which is a tripeptide hypothalamic regulatory hormone. The mouse proprotein contains five thyrotropin-releasing hormone tripeptides. Thyrotropin-releasing hormone is involved in the regulation and release of thyroid-stimulating hormone, as well as prolactin. Disruption of this gene results in hypothyroidism, elevated thyroid-stimulating hormone levels, and hyperglycemia. [provided by RefSeq, Apr 2013]
Uniprot Description
Functions as a regulator of the biosynthesis of TSH in the anterior pituitary gland and as a neurotransmitter/ neuromodulator in the central and peripheral nervous systems.

Product Notes
The Mouse TRH trh (Catalog #AAA9716668) is an ELISA Kit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The AAA9716668 ELISA Kit recognizes Mouse TRH. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "Thyrotropin-Releasing Hormone (TRH), ELISA Kit" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.Precautions
