Principle of the Assay: Mouse Succinate Dehydrogenase Cytochrome B560 Subunit, Mitochondrial (SDHC) ELISA Kit employs a two-site sandwich ELISA to quantitate SDHC in samples. An antibody specific for SDHC has been pre-coated onto a microplate. Standards and samples are pipetted into the wells and any SDHC present is bound by the immobilized antibody. After removing any unbound substances, HRP-Conjugated Mouse SDHC detection antibody is added to the wells. Following a wash to remove any unbound HRP reagent, a Chromogen solution is added to the wells and color develops in proportion to the amount of SDHC bound in the initial step. The color development is stopped and the intensity of the color is measured.

Background/Introduction: Succinate dehydrogenase complex subunit C, also known as succinate dehydrogenase cytochrome b560 subunit, mitochondrial (SDHC) is a protein that is one of four nuclear-encoded subunits that comprise succinate dehydrogenase, also known as Complex II of the electron transport chain, a key enzyme complex of the citric acid cycle and aerobic respiratory chains of mitochondria. The encoded protein is one of two integral membrane proteins that anchor other subunits of the complex, which form the catalytic core, to the inner mitochondrial membrane.

Product Notes

The Mouse SDHC sdhc (Catalog #AAA9717076) is an ELISA Kit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The AAA9717076 ELISA Kit recognizes Mouse SDHC. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "Succinate Dehydrogenase Cytochrome b560 Subunit, Mitochondrial (SDHC), ELISA Kit" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
