Related Product Information for IL-38 elisa kit
Principle of the Assay: As mentioned above, this kit utilizes the Double Antibody Sandwich ELISA technique. The pre-coated antibody is an anti-Mouse IL-38 monoclonal antibody, while the detection antibody is a biotinylated polyclonal antibody. Samples and biotinylated antibodies are added into ELISA plate wells and washed out with PBS or TBS after their respective additions to the wells. Then Avidin-peroxidase conjugates are added to the wells in after. TMB substrate is used for coloration after the enzyme conjugate has already been thoroughly washed out of the wells by PBS or TBS. TMB reacts to form a blue product from the peroxidase activity, and finally turns to yellow after addition of the stop solution (Color Reagent C). The color intensity and quantity of target analyte in the sample are positively correlated.

NCBI Description

The protein encoded by this gene is a member of the interleukin 1 cytokine family. This gene and eight other interleukin 1 family genes form a cytokine gene cluster on chromosome 2. This cytokine is thought to participate in a network of interleukin 1 family members to regulate adapted and innate immune responses. Two alternatively spliced transcript variants encoding the same protein have been reported. [provided by RefSeq, Jul 2008]

Uniprot Description

IL1F10: Binds soluble IL-1 receptor type 1. Belongs to the IL-1 family. 2 isoforms of the human protein are produced by alternative splicing.

Protein type: Cytokine

Chromosomal Location of Human Ortholog: 2q13

Cellular Component: extracellular space

Molecular Function: interleukin-1 receptor binding; cytokine activity

Biological Process: cytokine and chemokine mediated signaling pathway

Product Notes

The Mouse IL-38 il1f10 (Catalog #AAA2600305) is an ELISA Kit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The AAA2600305 ELISA Kit recognizes Mouse IL-38. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "Interleukin 38 (IL-38), ELISA Kit" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
