Related Product Information for GSTo1 elisa kit
Description: The kit is a sandwich enzyme immunoassay for in vitro quantitative measurement of GSTo1 in Mouse serum, plasma and other biological fluids
Principle of the Assay: This ELISA kit uses Sandwich-ELISA as the method. The micro ELISA plate provided in this kit has been pre-coated with an antibody specific to Mouse GSTo1. Standards or samples are added to the appropriate micro ELISA plate wells and bound by the specific antibody. Then a biotinylated detection antibody specific for Mouse GSTo1 and Avidin-Horseradish Peroxidase (HRP) conjugate is added to each micro plate well successively and incubated. Free components are washed away. The substrate solution is added to each well. Only those wells that contain Mouse GSTo1, biotinylated detection antibody and Avidin-HRP conjugate will appear blue in color. The enzyme-substrate reaction is terminated by the addition of a sulphuric acid solution and the color turns yellow. The optical density (OD) is measured spectrophotometrically at a wavelength of 450 nm +/- 2 nm. The OD value is proportional to the concentration of Mouse GSTo1. You can calculate the concentration of Mouse GSTo1 in the samples by comparing the OD of the samples to the standard curve.

NCBI Description

The protein encoded by this gene is an omega class glutathione S-transferase (GST) with glutathione-dependent thiol transferase and dehydroascorbate reductase activities. GSTs are involved in the metabolism of xenobiotics and carcinogens. The encoded protein acts as a homodimer and is found in the cytoplasm. Three transcript variants encoding different isoforms have been found for this gene. [provided by RefSeq, Jul 2010]

Uniprot Description

GSTO1: Exhibits glutathione-dependent thiol transferase and dehydroascorbate reductase activities. Has S-(phenacyl)glutathione reductase activity. Has also glutathione S-transferase activity. Participates in the biotransformation of inorganic arsenic and reduces monomethylarsonic acid (MMA) and dimethylarsonic acid. Belongs to the GST superfamily. Omega family.

Protein type: EC 2.5.1.18; EC 1.8.5.1; Xenobiotic Metabolism - drug metabolism - cytochrome P450; Xenobiotic Metabolism - metabolism by cytochrome P450; Other Amino Acids Metabolism - glutathione; EC 1.20.4.2; Transferase

Product Notes

The Mouse GSTo1 gsto1 (Catalog #AAA2514340) is an ELISA Kit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The AAA2514340 ELISA Kit recognizes Mouse GSTo1. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "GSTo1, ELISA Kit" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
