Preparation and Storage
The stability of kit is determined by the loss rate of activity. The loss rate of this kit is less than 5% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
To minimize extra influence on the performance, operation procedures and lab conditions, especially room temperature, air humidity, incubator temperature should be strictly controlled. It is also strongly suggested that the whole assay is performed by the same operator from the beginning to the end.

Related Product Information for GSTo1 elisa kit
The test principle applied in this kit is Sandwich enzyme immunoassay. The microtiter plate provided in this kit has been pre-coated with an antibody specific to Glutathione S Transferase Omega 1 (GSTo1). Standards or samples are then added to the appropriate microtiter plate wells with a biotin-conjugated antibody specific to Glutathione S Transferase Omega 1 (GSTo1). Next, Avidin conjugated to Horseradish Peroxidase (HRP) is added to each microplate well and incubated. After TMB substrate solution is added, only those wells that contain Glutathione S Transferase Omega 1 (GSTo1), biotin-conjugated antibody and enzyme-conjugated Avidin will exhibit a change in color. The enzyme-substrate reaction is terminated by the addition of sulphuric acid solution and the color change is measured spectrophotometrically at a wavelength of 450nm ± 10nm. The concentration of Glutathione S Transferase Omega 1 (GSTo1) in the samples is then determined by comparing the O.D. of the samples to the standard curve.

NCBI Description

The protein encoded by this gene is an omega class glutathione S-transferase (GST) with glutathione-dependent thiol transferase and dehydroascorbate reductase activities. GSTs are involved in the metabolism of xenobiotics and carcinogens. The encoded protein acts as a homodimer and is found in the cytoplasm. Three transcript variants encoding different isoforms have been found for this gene. [provided by RefSeq, Jul 2010]

Uniprot Description

GSTO1: Exhibits glutathione-dependent thiol transferase and dehydroascorbate reductase activities. Has S-(phenacyl)glutathione reductase activity. Has also glutathione S-transferase activity. Participates in the biotransformation of inorganic arsenic and reduces monomethylarsonic acid (MMA) and dimethylarsonic acid. Belongs to the GST superfamily. Omega family.

Protein type: Xenobiotic Metabolism - drug metabolism - cytochrome P450; EC 1.20.4.2; Transferase; EC 1.8.5.1; Xenobiotic Metabolism - metabolism by cytochrome P450; Other Amino Acids Metabolism - glutathione; EC 2.5.1.18

Product Notes

The Mouse GSTo1 gsto1 (Catalog #AAA2022990) is an ELISA Kit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The AAA2022990 ELISA Kit recognizes Mouse GSTo1. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "Glutathione S Transferase Omega 1 (GSTo1), ELISA Kit" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
