Mouse Cyclin-dependent kinase-like 5 (CDKL5) ELISA Kit
Principle of the Assay: CDKL5 ELISA kit applies the competitive enzyme immunoassay technique utilizing a polyclonal anti-CDKL5 antibody and an CDKL5-HRP conjugate. The assay sample and buffer are incubated together with CDKL5-HRP conjugate in pre-coated plate for one hour. After the incubation period, the wells are decanted and washed five times. The wells are then incubated with a substrate for HRP enzyme. The product of the enzyme-substrate reaction forms a blue colored complex. Finally, a stop solution is added to stop the reaction, which will then turn the solution yellow. The intensity of color is measured spectrophotometrically at 450nm in a microplate reader. The intensity of the color is inversely proportional to the CDKL5 concentration since CDKL5 from samples and CDKL5-HRP conjugate compete for the anti-CDKL5 antibody binding site. Since the number of sites is limited, as more sites are occupied by CDKL5 from the sample, fewer sites are left to bind CDKL5-HRP conjugate. A standard curve is plotted relating the intensity of the color (O.D.) to the concentration of standards. The CDKL5 concentration in each sample is interpolated from this standard curve.
NCBI and Uniprot Product Information
NCBI Description
This gene is a member of Ser/Thr protein kinase family and encodes a phosphorylated protein with protein kinase activity. Mutations in this gene have been associated with X-linked infantile spasm syndrome (ISSX), also known as X-linked West syndrome, and Rett syndrome (RTT). Alternate transcriptional splice variants have been characterized. [provided by RefSeq, Jul 2008]

Product Notes
The Mouse CDKL5 cdkl5 (Catalog #AAA7250132) is an ELISA Kit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The AAA7250132 ELISA Kit recognizes Mouse CDKL5. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "Cyclin-dependent kinase-like 5 (CDKL5), ELISA Kit" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.Precautions
