Mouse ATPase, Na+/K+ Transporting Beta 1 Polypeptide (ATP1b1) ELISA Kit | ATP1b1 elisa kit
Mouse ATPase, Na+/K+ Transporting Beta 1 Polypeptide (ATP1b1) ELISA Kit
Principle of the Assay: The microtiter plate provided in this kit has been pre-coated with an antibody specific to ATP1B1. Standards or samples are then added to the appropriate microtiter plate wells with a biotin-conjugated antibody preparation specific to ATP1B1. Next, Avidin conjugated to Horseradish Peroxidase (HRP) is added to each microplate well and incubated. After TMB substrate solution is added, only those wells that contain ATP1B1, biotin-conjugated antibody and enzyme-conjugated Avidin will exhibit a change in color. The enzyme-substrate reaction is terminated by the addition of sulphuric acid solution and the color change is measured spectrophotometrically at a wavelength of 450nm +/- 10nm. The concentration of ATP1B1 in the samples is then determined by comparing the O.D. of the samples to the standard curve.
NCBI and Uniprot Product Information
NCBI Description
This gene encodes an integral membrane protein that comprises a subunit of an ATP-metabolizing enzyme responsible for transporting sodium and potassium ions across the plasma membrane. This enzyme regulates the electrochemical gradient of these ions in cells, and plays a central role in osmoregulation and signal transmission in nerves and muscles, among other biological processes. The encoded protein is the non-catalytic beta subunit; it works together with a catalytic alpha subunit and a gamma subunit. [provided by RefSeq, Mar 2013]
Uniprot Description
This is the non-catalytic component of the active enzyme, which catalyzes the hydrolysis of ATP coupled with the exchange of Na+ and K+ ions across the plasma membrane. The beta subunit regulates, through assembly of alpha/beta heterodimers, the number of sodium pumps transported to the plasma membrane.Involved in cell adhesion and establishing epithelial cell polarity.

Product Notes
The Mouse ATP1b1 atp1b1 (Catalog #AAA450171) is an ELISA Kit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The AAA450171 ELISA Kit recognizes Mouse ATP1b1. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "ATPase, Na+/K+ Transporting Beta 1 Polypeptide (ATP1b1), ELISA Kit" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.Precautions
