Intended Uses: This APBA3 ELISA kit is a 1.5 hour solid-phase ELISA designed for the quantitative determination of Mouse APBA3. This ELISA kit for research use only!

Principle of the Assay: APBA3 ELISA kit applies the competitive enzyme immunoassay technique utilizing a monoclonal anti-APBA3 antibody and an APBA3-HRP conjugate. The assay sample and buffer are incubated together with APBA3-HRP conjugate in pre-coated plate for one hour. After the incubation period, the wells are decanted and washed five times. The wells are then incubated with a substrate for HRP enzyme. The product of the enzyme-substrate reaction forms a blue colored complex. Finally, a stop solution is added to stop the reaction, which will then turn the solution yellow. The intensity of color is measured spectrophotometrically at 450nm in a microplate reader. The intensity of the color is inversely proportional to the APBA3 concentration since APBA3 from samples and APBA3-HRP conjugate compete for the anti-APBA3 antibody binding site. Since the number of sites is limited, as more sites are occupied by APBA3 from the sample, fewer sites are left to bind APBA3-HRP conjugate. A standard curve is plotted relating the intensity of the color (O.D.) to the concentration of standards. The APBA3 concentration in each sample is interpolated from this standard curve.

NCBI Description

The protein encoded by this gene is a member of the X11 protein family. It is an adapter protein that interacts with the Alzheimer's disease amyloid precursor protein. This gene product is believed to be involved in signal transduction processes. This gene is a candidate gene for Alzheimer's disease. [provided by RefSeq, Jul 2008]

Uniprot Description

Product Notes

The Mouse APBA3 apba3 (Catalog #AAA7235330) is an ELISA Kit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The AAA7235330 ELISA Kit recognizes Mouse APBA3. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "Amyloid beta A4 precursor protein-binding family A member 3 (APBA3), ELISA Kit" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
