Precision
Intra-assay Precision (Precision within an assay): 3 samples with low, middle and high level Tissue Factor Pathway Inhibitor (TFPI) were tested 20 times on one plate, respectively.
Inter-assay Precision (Precision between assays): 3 samples with low, middle and high level Tissue Factor Pathway Inhibitor (TFPI) were tested on 3 different plates, 8 replicates in each plate.
CV(%) = SD/meanX100
Intra-Assay: CV<10%
Inter-Assay: CV<12%
Test Principle
The microplate provided in this kit has been pre-coated with an antibody specific to Tissue Factor Pathway Inhibitor (TFPI). Standards or samples are then added to the appropriate microplate wells with a biotin-conjugated antibody specific to Tissue Factor Pathway Inhibitor (TFPI). Next, Avidin conjugated to Horseradish Peroxidase (HRP) is added to each microplate well and incubated. Then the mixture of substrate A and B is added to generate glow light emission kinetics. Upon plate development, the intensity of the emitted light is proportional to the Tissue Factor Pathway Inhibitor (TFPI) level in the sample or standard.
Preparation and Storage
The stability of kit is determined by the loss rate of activity. The loss rate of this kit is less than 5% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
To minimize extra influence on the performance, operation procedures and lab conditions, especially room temperature, air humidity, incubator temperature should be strictly controlled. It is also strongly suggested that the whole assay is performed by the same operator from the beginning to the end.

Uniprot Description

TFPI: Inhibits factor X (X(a)) directly and, in a Xa-dependent way, inhibits VIIa/tissue factor activity, presumably by forming a quaternary Xa/LACI/VIIa/TF complex. It possesses an antithrombotic action and also the ability to associate with lipoproteins in plasma. 2 isoforms of the human protein are produced by alternative splicing.

Protein type: Membrane protein, GPI anchor; Secreted; Inhibitor; Secreted, signal peptide

Cellular Component: extracellular space; cell surface; extracellular region

Molecular Function: serine-type endopeptidase inhibitor activity; protease inhibitor activity

Biological Process: hemostasis; negative regulation of peptidase activity; blood coagulation

Product Notes

The Mouse TFPI tfpi (Catalog #AAA2708756) is a CLIA Kit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The AAA2708756 CLIA Kit recognizes Mouse TFPI. AAA Biotech's Tissue Factor Pathway Inhibitor (TFPI) can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Chemiluminescence Immunoassay (CLIA). Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the TFPI tfpi for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "Tissue Factor Pathway Inhibitor (TFPI), CLIA Kit" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
