Precision
Intra-assay Precision (Precision within an assay): 3 samples with low, middle and high level Matrix Metalloproteinase 1 (MMP1) were tested 20 times on one plate, respectively.
Inter-assay Precision (Precision between assays): 3 samples with low, middle and high level Matrix Metalloproteinase 1 (MMP1) were tested on 3 different plates, 8 replicates in each plate.
CV(%) = SD/meanX100
Intra-Assay: CV<10%
Inter-Assay: CV<12%
Test Principle
The microplate provided in this kit has been pre-coated with an antibody specific to Matrix Metalloproteinase 1 (MMP1). Standards or samples are then added to the appropriate microplate wells with a biotin-conjugated antibody specific to Matrix Metalloproteinase 1 (MMP1). Next, Avidin conjugated to Horseradish Peroxidase (HRP) is added to each microplate well and incubated. Then the mixture of substrate A and B is added to generate glow light emission kinetics. Upon plate development, the intensity of the emitted light is proportional to the Matrix Metalloproteinase 1 (MMP1) level in the sample or standard.
Preparation and Storage
The stability of kit is determined by the loss rate of activity. The loss rate of this kit is less than 5% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
To minimize extra influence on the performance, operation procedures and lab conditions, especially room temperature, air humidity, incubator temperature should be strictly controlled. It is also strongly suggested that the whole assay is performed by the same operator from the beginning to the end.

NCBI Description

This gene encodes a member of the matrix metalloproteinase family of extracellular matrix-degrading enzymes that are involved in tissue remodeling, wound repair, progression of atherosclerosis and tumor invasion. The encoded preproprotein undergoes proteolytic processing to generate a mature, zinc-dependent endopeptidase enzyme that degrades collagens. Mice lacking the encoded protein exhibit decreased susceptibility to chemical carcinogen-induced lung tumor development and angiogenesis. This gene is located in a cluster of other matrix metalloproteinase genes on chromosome 9. [provided by RefSeq, Feb 2016]

Uniprot Description

MMP1: Cleaves collagens of types I, II, and III at one site in the helical domain. Also cleaves collagens of types VII and X. In case of HIV infection, interacts and cleaves the secreted viral Tat protein, leading to a decrease in neuronal Tat's mediated neurotoxicity. Belongs to the peptidase M10A family.

Protein type: Secreted; EC 3.4.24.7; Protease; Secreted, signal peptide; Motility/polarity/chemotaxis

Cellular Component: extracellular matrix; proteinaceous extracellular matrix; extracellular space; cytoplasm; extracellular region

Molecular Function: peptidase activity; zinc ion binding; hydrolase activity; metallopeptidase activity; metalloendopeptidase activity; metal ion binding; endopeptidase activity; calcium ion binding

Biological Process: positive regulation of protein oligomerization; collagen catabolic process; proteolysis; positive regulation of smooth muscle cell migration

Product Notes

The Mouse MMP1 mmp1a (Catalog #AAA2708624) is a CLIA Kit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The AAA2708624 CLIA Kit recognizes Mouse MMP1. AAA Biotech's Matrix Metalloproteinase 1 (MMP1) can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Chemiluminescence Immunoassay (CLIA). Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the MMP1 mmp1a for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "Matrix Metalloproteinase 1 (MMP1), CLIA Kit" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
