Mouse BMP8B (Bone Morphogenetic Protein 8B) CLIA Kit
Principle of the Assay||This kit uses Sandwich-CLIA as the method. The micro CLIA plate provided in this kit has been pre-coated with an antibody specific to BMP8B. Standards or samples are added to the appropriate micro CLIA plate wells and combined with the specific antibody. Then a biotinylated detection antibody specific for BMP8B and Avidin-Horseradish Peroxidase (HRP) conjugate is added to each micro plate well successively and incubated. Free components are washed away. The substrate solution is added to each well. Only those wells that contain BMP8B, biotinylated detection antibody and Avidin-HRP conjugate will appear fluorescence. The Relative light unit (RLU) value is measured spectrophotometrically by the Chemiluminescence immunoassay analyzer. The RLU value is positively associated with the concentration of BMP8B. You can calculate the concentration of BMP8B in the samples by comparing the RLU value of the samples to the standard curve.
NCBI and Uniprot Product Information
NCBI Description
The bone morphogenetic proteins (BMPs) are a family of secreted signaling molecules that can induce ectopic bone growth. Many BMPs are part of the transforming growth factor-beta (TGFB) superfamily. BMPs were originally identified by an ability of demineralized bone extract to induce endochondral osteogenesis in vivo in an extraskeletal site. Based on its expression early in embryogenesis, the BMP encoded by this gene has a proposed role in early development. In addition, the fact that this BMP is closely related to BMP5 and BMP7 has led to speculation of possible bone inductive activity. [provided by RefSeq, Jul 2008]

Product Notes
The Mouse BMP8B bmp8b (Catalog #AAA2531013) is a CLIA Kit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The AAA2531013 CLIA Kit recognizes Mouse BMP8B. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "BMP8B (Bone Morphogenetic Protein 8B), CLIA Kit" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.Precautions
