Mouse WC1 Monoclonal Antibody | anti-WC1 antibody
Mouse Anti Bovine WC1
This product should be stored undiluted. Storage in frost-free freezers is not recommended. Avoid repeated freezing and thawing as this may denature the antibody.
Should this product contain a precipitate we recommend microcentrifugation before use.

Testing Data
(Mouse anti Bovine WC1 antibody, clone CC15 used to identify WC1 expressing lymphocytes in tick infested bovine skin by immunohistochemistry on formalin fixed paraffin embedded tissue sections.Image caption:Lymphocyte phenotypes in tick-infested skins. Cryopreserved sections were stained with peroxidase-immunohistochemistry to counts local lymphocytes, as described in the methods section. The blue arrowhead marks cement cone produced by R. microplus showing the sections in the center of tick attachment (Zone 1 or 2, Additional file 1: Figure S1b), while black arrowhead marks the lymphocytes surrounding cement cone (original magnifications were 10× and 100×).From: Franzin AM, Maruyama SR, Garcia GR, Oliveira RP, Ribeiro JM, Bishop R, Maia AA, Moré DD, Ferreira BR, Santos IK.Immune and biochemical responses in skin differ between bovine hosts genetically susceptible and resistant to the cattle tick Rhipicephalus microplus. Parasit Vectors. 2017 Jan 31;10(1):51.)
The WC1 antigen is reported to be involved in a number of processes, including activation of gamma/delta T cells and the development of a Th1-biased acquired immune response (Rogers et al. 2005).
Mouse anti Bovine WC1 antibody, clone CC15 is routinely tested in flow cytometry on bovine peripheral blood lymphocytes.
NCBI and Uniprot Product Information
Uniprot Description
CD163L1: a member of the scavenger receptor cysteine-rich (SRCR) superfamily. Members of this family are secreted or membrane-anchored proteins mainly found in cells associated with the immune system. The SRCR family is defined by a 100-110 amino acid SRCR domain, which may mediate protein-protein interaction and ligand binding. The encoded protein contains twelve SRCR domains, a transmembrane region and a cytoplasmic domain. Alternatively spliced transcript variants encoding different isoforms have been described but their full-length nature has not been determined. [provided by RefSeq, Jul 2008]
Protein type: Membrane protein, integral; Receptor, misc.
Cellular Component: membrane; extracellular region
Molecular Function: scavenger receptor activity
Biological Process: receptor-mediated endocytosis

Product Notes
The WC1 (Catalog #AAA225719) is an Antibody produced from Mouse and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The Mouse Anti Bovine WC1 reacts with Bovine, Sheep, Goat and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's WC1 can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Immunohistochemistry (IHC) Frozen/Paraffin, Flow Cytometry (FC/FACS), Immunoprecipitation (IP). Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the WC1 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "WC1, Monoclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.Precautions
