Related Product Information for anti-VTA1 antibody
The VTA1 protein is involved in the endosomal multivesicular bodies (MVB) pathway. MVBs contain intraluminal vesicles (ILVs) that are generated by invagination and scission from the limiting membrane of the endosome and mostly are delivered to lysosomes enabling degradation of membrane proteins, such as stimulated growth factor receptors, lysosomal enzymes and lipids. Thought to be a cofactor of VPS4A/B, which catalyzes disassembles membrane-associated ESCRT-III assemblies. This protein is involved in the sorting and down-regulation of EGFR (By similarity) and involved in HIV-1 budding.

NCBI Description

C6ORF55 encodes a protein involved in trafficking of the multivesicular body, an endosomal compartment involved in sorting membrane proteins for degradation in lysosomes (Ward et al., 2005 [PubMed 15644320]).[supplied by OMIM, Mar 2008]

Uniprot Description

Involved in the endosomal multivesicular bodies (MVB) pathway. Involved in the sorting and down-regulation of EGFR (). Involved in HIV-1 budding.

Product Notes

The VTA1 vta1 (Catalog #AAA200402) is an Antibody produced from Mouse and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The VTA1 antibody reacts with Human and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's VTA1 can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, ELISA (EIA), Western Blot (WB), Flow Cytometry (FC/FACS), Immunocytochemistry (ICC), Immunofluorescence (IF). Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the VTA1 vta1 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "VTA1, Monoclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
