Mouse anti-Human, Mouse UBCH9 Monoclonal Antibody | anti-UBCH9 antibody
UBCH9 (Ubiquitin-conjugating Enzyme E2 E3, Ubiquitin-protein Ligase E3, Ubiquitin Carrier Protein E3, Ubiquitin-conjugating Enzyme E2-23kD, UbcH9, UBE2E3, UBCE4) (MaxLight 405)
Immunocytochemistry (ICC)
(Immunocytochemistry Analysis: Representative lot data. Confocal fluorescent analysis of A431 and HeLa cells using Ubch9 (Red). Actin filaments have been labeled with Alexa Fluor® 488 dye- Phalloidin (Green). Nucleus is stained with DAPI (Blue). This antibody positively stains the nucleus and cytoplasm.)
Western Blot (WB)
(Western Blotting Analysis: Representative lot data. NIH/3T3 cell lysate was probed with Ubch9 (0.5ug/ml). Proteins were visualized using a Goat Mouse IgG secondary antibody conjugated to HRP and a chemiluminescence detection system. Arrow indicates Ubch9 (~23kD). An uncharacterized band at a molecular weight of ~19kD may be observed in some cell lysates.)
NCBI and Uniprot Product Information
NCBI Description
The modification of proteins with ubiquitin is an important cellular mechanism for targeting abnormal or short-lived proteins for degradation. Ubiquitination involves at least three classes of enzymes: ubiquitin-activating enzymes, or E1s, ubiquitin-conjugating enzymes, or E2s, and ubiquitin-protein ligases, or E3s. This gene encodes a member of the E2 ubiquitin-conjugating enzyme family. The encoded protein shares 100% sequence identity with the mouse and rat counterparts, which indicates that this enzyme is highly conserved in eukaryotes. Multiple alternatively spliced transcript variants encoding the same protein have been found for this gene. [provided by RefSeq, Jun 2013]
Uniprot Description
UBE2E3: Accepts ubiquitin from the E1 complex and catalyzes its covalent attachment to other proteins. In vitro catalyzes 'Lys- 11'- and 'Lys-48'-, as well as 'Lys-63'-linked polyubiquitination. Participates in the regulation of transepithelial sodium transport in renal cells. May be involved in cell growth arrest. Belongs to the ubiquitin-conjugating enzyme family.
Protein type: EC 6.3.2.19; Ligase; Ubiquitin conjugating system; Ubiquitin ligase
Chromosomal Location of Human Ortholog: 2q32.1

Product Notes
The UBCH9 ube2e3 (Catalog #AAA6245197) is an Antibody produced from Mouse and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The UBCH9 (Ubiquitin-conjugating Enzyme E2 E3, Ubiquitin-protein Ligase E3, Ubiquitin Carrier Protein E3, Ubiquitin-conjugating Enzyme E2-23kD, UbcH9, UBE2E3, UBCE4) (MaxLight 405) reacts with Human, Mouse and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's UBCH9 can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Immunocytochemistry (ICC), Western Blot (WB). Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the UBCH9 ube2e3 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "UBCH9, Monoclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.Precautions
