Loading Control of WB.
Preparation and Storage
Store at 4 degree C for frequent use. Stored at -20 degree C in a manual defrost freezer for one year without detectable loss of activity. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37 degree C for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate is less than 5% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.

NCBI Description

This gene encodes a beta tubulin protein. This protein forms a dimer with alpha tubulin and acts as a structural component of microtubules. Mutations in this gene cause cortical dysplasia, complex, with other brain malformations 6. Alternative splicing results in multiple splice variants. There are multiple pseudogenes for this gene on chromosomes 1, 6, 7, 8, 9, and 13. [provided by RefSeq, Jun 2014]

Uniprot Description

TUBB: Tubulin is the major constituent of microtubules. It binds two moles of GTP, one at an exchangeable site on the beta chain and one at a non-exchangeable site on the alpha-chain. Dimer of alpha and beta chains. May interact with RNABP10. Interacts with PIFO/C1orf88. Ubiquitously expressed with highest levels in spleen, thymus and immature brain. Belongs to the tubulin family.

Product Notes

The TUBb tubb (Catalog #AAA2034690) is an Antibody produced from Mouse and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The Anti-Tubulin Beta (TUBb) Monoclonal Antibody reacts with Human and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's Tubulin Beta (TUBb) can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Western Blot (WB). Loading Control of WB. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the TUBb tubb for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "Tubulin Beta (TUBb), Monoclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
