Related Product Information for anti-Tymp antibody
Platelet-derived endothelial growth factor (PD-ECGF), same as thymidine phosphorylase (TP; EC number 2.4.2.4) or gliostatin. Human TP is 482 aa (mature chain 11-482 aa; chromosome 22q13.32) dimeric protein. In the presence of inorganic orthophosphate, it catalyses the reversible phospholytic cleavage of thymidine and deoxyuridine to their corresponding bases and 2-deoxyribose-1- phosphate. It is both chemotactic and mitogenic for endothelial cells and a non-heparin binding angiogenic factor present in platelets. It is also involved in transformation of fluoropyrimidines, cytotoxic agents used in the treatment of a variety of malignancies, into active cytotoxic metabolites.

Product Notes

The Tymp tymp (Catalog #AAA601382) is an Antibody produced from Host: Mouse Source: Human and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The Anti - Thymidine Phosphorylase (TYMP, ECGF1, Gliostatin, hPD-ECGF, MNGIE, PDECGF, PD-ECGF, Platelet-derived endothelial cell growth factor, TdRPase, TP) reacts with Human, Mouse, Rat and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's Thymidine Phosphorylase can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Western Blot. Suitable for use in Western Blot. Other applications not tested. Dilution: Western Blot: 1-5ug/ml; Users must optimize antibody dilution depending upon the nature of samples and other technical conditions. TP is ~ 55kD. HUVEC cells or breast carcinoma or other tumor cells cab be used as positive controls. Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the Tymp tymp for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "Thymidine Phosphorylase, Monoclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
