Related Product Information for anti-Tymp antibody
Thymidine phosphorylase (TP) is a platelet-derived endothelial cell growth factor (PD-ECGF) that catalyzes the formation of thymine and 2-deoxy-D-ribose-1-phosphate from thymidine and orthophosphate. This intracellular enzyme is capable of both promoting angio-genesis and inhibiting apoptosis. Thymidine phosphorylase catalytic activity is required for its angiogenic function. Increased expression of TP/PD-ECGF is seen in a wide vari-ety of different solid tumors and inflammatory diseases and is often associated with poor prognosis. Alternatively, TP can activate fluorouracil derivative (DFUR) prodrugs and increase the antitumor activity of the related treatment. The use of thymidine phosphorylase as a cancer therapeutic target has been studied extensively, with emphasis on either inhibiting TP enzymatic activity or increasing enzyme induc-tion with concomitant DFUR treatment.

Product Notes

The Tymp tymp (Catalog #AAA606212) is an Antibody produced from Rabbit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The Thymidine Phosphorylase (TYMP, ECGF1, Gliostatin, hPD-ECGF, MNGIE, PDECGF, PD-ECGF, Platelet-derived endothelial cell growth factor, TdRPase, TP) reacts with Human and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's Thymidine Phosphorylase can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Western Blot (WB), Immunoprecipitation (IP). Suitable for use in Western Blot and Immunoprecipitation. Dilution: Western Blot: 1:1000 Incubate membrane with diluted antibody in 5% w/v BSA, 1X TBS, 0.1% Tween-20 at 4 degree C with gentle shaking, overnight. Immunoprecipitation: 1:100 Optimal dilutions should be determined by the researcher. Other applications not tested. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the Tymp tymp for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "Thymidine Phosphorylase, Monoclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
