Related Product Information for anti-Sulf2 antibody
Mouse anti Human Sulfatase 2 (C-Terminal) antibody, clone 2B4 recognizes an epitope within the C-terminal (CT) subunit of Sulfatase 2 (Sulf-2). Sulf-2 is a novel extracellular heparan sulfate 6-O-endosulfatase, which selectively removes the critical sulfate group from the polysaccharide side chain of heparan sulfate proteoglycans, major components of the extracellular matrix, involved in cell differentiation, proliferation and migration. Sulf-2 acts as a modulator of several signalling proteins including Wnt proteins, bone morphogenetic proteins (BMPs) and fibroblast growth factors (FGFs), and is a direct transcriptional target of p53. Studies have linked Sulf-2 with several cancers, including breast, hepatocellular, and pancreatic cancer, and recently with non-small-cell lung carcinomas (Lemjabbar-Alaoui et al. 2010). Mature human Sulf-2 is a heterodimer consisting of a 50kDa C-terminal subunit, essential for both glucosamine 6-O-sulfate-endosulfatase and arylsulfatase activity, and a 75kDa N-terminal subunit which contains the catalytic centre. Mouse anti Human Sulfatase 2 (C-Terminal) antibody, clone 2B4recognizes Sulfatase 2, showing no cross-reactivity with Sulfatase 1 in either human or mouse.

Uniprot Description

SULF2: Exhibits arylsulfatase activity and highly specific endoglucosamine-6-sulfatase activity. It can remove sulfate from the C-6 position of glucosamine within specific subregions of intact heparin. Belongs to the sulfatase family. 2 isoforms of the human protein are produced by alternative splicing.

Product Notes

The Sulf2 sulf2 (Catalog #AAA219851) is an Antibody produced from Mouse and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The MOUSE ANTI HUMAN SULFATASE 2 (C-TERMINAL) reacts with Mouse N.B Antibody reactivity and working conditions may vary between species. and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's SULFATASE 2 can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, ELISA (EIA), Immunohistology Paraffin, Western Blot (WB). This product requires antigen retrieval using heat treatment prior to staining of paraffin sections. Sodium citrate buffer pH 6.0 is recommended for this purpose. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the Sulf2 sulf2 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "SULFATASE 2, Monoclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
