Antibody products are stable for twelve months from date of receipt when stored at -20 degree C to -80 degree C. Preservative-Free. Sodium azide is recommended to avoid contamination (final concentration 0.05%-0.1%). It is toxic to cells and should be disposed of properly. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
Related Product Information for anti-SerpinI2  antibody
Serpins are the largest and most diverse family of serine protease inhibitors which are involved in a number of fundamental biological processes such as blood coagulation, complement activation, fibrinolysis, angiogenesis, inflammation and tumor suppression and are expressed in a cell-specific manner. Serpins are a group of proteins with similar structures that were first identified as a set of proteins able to inhibit proteases. The acronym serpin was originally coined because many serpins inhibit chymotrypsin-like serine proteases (serine protease inhibitors). Over 1000 serpins have been identified. Serpin-I2, also known as myoepithelium-derived serine protease inhibitor, Pancreas-specific protein TSA2004, Peptidase inhibitor 14, PI14, SERPINI2 and MEPI, is a secreted protein which belongs to the serpin family. It is expressed in pancreas and adipose tissues. SERPINI2 deficiency directly results in the acinar cell apoptosis and malabsorption.

NCBI Description

The gene encodes a member of a family of proteins that acts as inhibitors of serine proteases. These proteins function in the regulation of a variety of physiological processes, including coagulation, fibrinolysis, development, malignancy, and inflammation. Expression of the encoded protein may be downregulated during pancreatic carcinogenesis. Alternative splicing results in multiple transcript variants for this gene. [provided by RefSeq, Jan 2013]

Uniprot Description

SERPINI2: is a member of the serine protease inhibitor (serpin) superfamily made up of proteins which play central roles in the regulation of a wide variety of physiological processes, including coagulation, fibrinolysis, development, malignancy and inflammation. The gene product may have a role in a growth-control, possibly growth-suppressing pathway and, when impaired, may be involved in pancreatic carcinogenesis. The protein is a member of the plasminogen activator inhibitor-1 family, a subset of the serpin superfamily whose members act as tissue-specific tPA inhibitors. Two alternatively spliced transcript variants encoding distinct protein isoforms have been found for this gene. [provided by RefSeq, Jul 2008]

Product Notes

The SerpinI2  serpini2 (Catalog #AAA2544141) is an Antibody produced from Rabbit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The Rabbit anti Human SerpinI2  Monoclonal Antibody reacts with Human and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's SerpinI2  can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, ELISA (EIA). ELISA: 0.1-0.2 mug/mL. This antibody can be used at 0.1-0.2 mug/mL with the appropriate secondary reagents to detect Human SerpinI2. The detection limit for Human SerpinI2 is approximately 0.0049 ng/well. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the SerpinI2  serpini2 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "SerpinI2 , Monoclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
