Suitable for use in Immunoblot, Immunocytochemistry and Immunofluorescence.
Dilution: Immunoblot: 0.5-3ug/ml detects Rho in RIPA lysates from Jurkat and HL-60 cells. HL-60 cell lysate was resolved by electrophoresis, transferred to nitrocellulose and probed with 3ug/ml R1998-01. Proteins were visualized using a goat anti-mouse secondary antibody conjugated to HRP and a chemiluminescence detection system.
Immunocytochemistry: Reported to detect Rho in cells via immunofluorescence.
Immunogen
Recombinant human RhoA containing amino acids 1-155.
Preparation and Storage
May be stored at 4 degree C for short-term only. For long-term storage, store at -20 degree C. Aliquots are stable for at least 12 months at -20 degree C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.

NCBI Description

Rho GTPase activating protein 5 negatively regulates RHO GTPases, a family which may mediate cytoskeleton changes by stimulating the hydrolysis of bound GTP. Two transcript variants encoding different isoforms have been found for this gene. [provided by RefSeq, Jul 2008]

Uniprot Description

ARHGAP5: a GTPase activating protein for Rho family members. May play a role in the reduction of the p21rasGTPase-activating potential of p120GAP. Negatively regulates RHO GTPases, a family which may mediate cytoskeleton changes by stimulating the hydrolysis of bound GTP.

Product Notes

The ARHGAP5 arhgap5 (Catalog #AAA606927) is an Antibody produced from Mouse and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The RhoA,B,C (GDP/GTP Binding Protein) reacts with Human, Mouse, Rat and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's RhoA,B,C can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Western Blot (WB). Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the ARHGAP5 arhgap5 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "RhoA,B,C, Monoclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
