FC: <= 1 ug/test

A test is defined as the amount (ug) of antibody that will stain a cell sample in a final volume of 100 ul. Cell number should be determined empirically but can range from 10^5 to 10^8 cells/test. It is recommended that the antibody be carefully titrated for optimal performance in the assay of interest
Biological Significance
The CX1 monoclonal antibody reacts with the mouse retinoic acid early inducible gamma and weakly cross-reacts with the RAE-1 alpha and beta, but not with delta and epsilon. These 5 members of the RAE-1 family, along with another protein encoded by the minor histocompatibility gene complex called H60 have been identified as ligands for the mouse NKG2D molecule. These ligands are normally absent from adult tissue, however the presence of retinoic acid or certain disease conditions can induce up-regulation of this protein at the cell surface. RAE-1 alpha, -beta, and -gamma and H60 are expressed in BALB/c mice, but not in C57BL/6, whereas RAE-1delta, and -epsilon are expressed in C57BL/6 mice. It is reported that in NOD mice, both NKG2D and its ligand RAE-1 are expressed on the same NK cells, resulting in self-modulation of NKG2D expression and function.

Product Notes

The RAE1g (Catalog #AAA833946) is an Antibody produced from Rat and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. AAA Biotech's RAE1g can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Flow Cytometry (FC/FACS). FC: <= 1 ug/test A test is defined as the amount (ug) of antibody that will stain a cell sample in a final volume of 100 ul. Cell number should be determined empirically but can range from 10^5 to 10^8 cells/test. It is recommended that the antibody be carefully titrated for optimal performance in the assay of interest. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the RAE1g for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "RAE1g, Monoclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
