NCBI Description
This gene encodes a member of the steroid receptor superfamily. The encoded protein mediates the physiological effects of progesterone, which plays a central role in reproductive events associated with the establishment and maintenance of pregnancy. This gene uses two distinct promotors and translation start sites in the first exon to produce two isoforms, A and B. The two isoforms are identical except for the additional 165 amino acids found in the N-terminus of isoform B and mediate their own response genes and physiologic effects with little overlap. Product Notes
The PGR pgr (Catalog #
AAA6124462) is an Antibody produced from Mouse and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The Progesterone Receptor (NR3C3, Nuclear receptor subfamily 3 group C member 3, PGR, PR, PRA, PRB, Progesterone receptor form A, Progesterone receptor form B) (AP) reacts with Human and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's Progesterone Receptor can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Immunohistochemistry (IHC), Western Blot (WB). WB: 0.5-1ug/ml for 2 hours at RT IHC: 0.5-1ug/ml for 30 min at RT (IHC recommended) Applications are based on unconjugated antibody. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the PGR pgr for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process.
It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of
"Progesterone Receptor, Monoclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of
the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always
suggest centrifuging these vials
to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to
opening. Please be advised that
certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an
additional dry ice fee may also be
required.
