Biological Significance
Cyclic nucleotide phosphodiesterases (PDEs) catalyze hydrolysis of the cyclic nucleotides cAMP and cGMP to the corresponding nucleoside 5-prime-monophosphates. Mammalian PDEs have been classified into several families based on their biochemical properties. Members of the PDE1 family, such as PDE1B, are calmodulin-dependent PDEs (CaM-PDEs) that are stimulated by a calcium-calmodulin complex.
Cross-Reactivity
Human, Dog, Rat, Monkey
Immunogen
PDE1B antibody was raised in Mouse using full length human recombinant protein of human PDE1B produced in HEK293T cell as the immunogen.
Preparation and Storage
Store at 4 degree C for short term storage. Aliquot and store at -20 degree C for long term storage. Avoid repeated freeze/thaw cycles.

Uniprot Description

PDE1B: Cyclic nucleotide phosphodiesterase with a dual- specificity for the second messengers cAMP and cGMP, which are key regulators of many important physiological processes. Has a preference for cGMP as a substrate. Belongs to the cyclic nucleotide phosphodiesterase family. PDE1 subfamily. 2 isoforms of the human protein are produced by alternative splicing.

Protein type: Apoptosis; Nucleotide Metabolism - purine; EC 3.1.4.17; Phosphodiesterase

Product Notes

The PDE1B pde1b (Catalog #AAA834004) is an Antibody produced from Mouse and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. AAA Biotech's PDE1B can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Flow Cytometry (FC/FACS), Immunofluorescence (IF), Western Blot (WB). FC: 1:100 IF: 1:100 WB: 1:2000. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the PDE1B pde1b for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "PDE1B, Monoclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
