Preparation and Storage
May be stored at 4 degree C for short-term only. For long-term storage, store at -20 degree C with the addition of glycerol. Aliquots are stable for at least 6 months at -20 degree C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer. Do not freeze alkaline phosphatase conjugates which could result in a substantial loss of enzymatic activity. Light sensitive.

Related Product Information for anti-OR5B12 antibody
Olfactory receptors interact with odorant molecules in the nose, to initiate a neuronal response that triggers the perception of a smell. The olfactory receptor proteins are members of a large family of G-protein-coupled receptors (GPCR) arising from single coding-exon genes. Olfactory receptors share a 7-transmembrane domain structure with many neurotransmitter and hormone receptors and are responsible for the recognition and G protein-mediated transduction of odorant signals. The olfactory receptor gene family is the largest in the genome. The nomenclature assigned to the olfactory receptor genes and proteins for this organism is independent of other organisms.

Product Notes

The OR5B12 or5b12 (Catalog #AAA6120873) is an Antibody produced from Mouse and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The OR5B12, CT (OR5B12, OR5B12P, OR5B16, Olfactory receptor 5B12, Olfactory receptor 5B16, Olfactory receptor OR11-241) (AP) reacts with Human and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's OR5B12 can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, ELISA (EIA), Western Blot (WB). ELISA: 1:1,000 WB: 1:100-250 Applications are based on unconjugated antibody. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the OR5B12 or5b12 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "OR5B12, Monoclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
