NR1, CT (NMDA (N-methyl-D-aspartate) Receptor subunit NR1) (AP)

Gene Names
Grin1; NR1; GluN1; NMDAR1
Reactivity
Rat
Applications
Immunocytochemistry, Immunoprecipitation, Western Blot
Purity
Purified by protein G affinity chromatography from ascites.
Synonyms
NR1; Monoclonal Antibody; CT (NMDA (N-methyl-D-aspartate) Receptor subunit NR1) (AP); anti-NR1 antibody
Ordering
For Research Use Only!
Host
Mouse
Reactivity
Rat
Clonality
Monoclonal
Isotype
IgG
Clone Number
0.T.190
Specificity
Recognizes rat NR1 (Mr 130kD). An additional band (Mr 200kD) may be detected at higher concentrations. The epitope maps to a region (aa834-864) common to all NR1 isoforms and so should crossreact with all NR1 isoforms.
Purity/Purification
Purified by protein G affinity chromatography from ascites.
Form/Format
Supplied as a liquid in PBS, pH 7.2. No preservative added. Labeled with Alkaline Phosphatase.
Applicable Applications for anti-NR1 antibody
Immunocytochemistry (ICC), Immunoprecipitation (IP), Western Blot (WB)
Application Notes
WB: Do not boil the microsomal preparation. Incubate at RT for 30-45 minutes.
Applications are based on unconjugated antibody.
Immunogen
His tag fusion protein corresponding to aa834-938 of rat NR1. Peptide sequence homology: human and mouse, 100%
Conjugate
AP
Positive Control
Brain tissue
Preparation and Storage
Store product at 4 degree C. DO NOT FREEZE! Stable at 4 degree C for 12 months after receipt as an undiluted liquid. Dilute required amount only prior to immediate use. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial prior to removing the cap.

NCBI Description

subunit of NMDA-preferring ionotropic glutamate receptors; may play a role in long term potentiation [RGD, Feb 2006]

Uniprot Description

NMDA receptor subtype of glutamate-gated ion channels possesses high calcium permeability and voltage-dependent sensitivity to magnesium. Mediated by glycine. Plays a key role in synaptic plasticity, synaptogenesis, excitotoxicity, memory acquisition and learning. It mediates neuronal functions in glutamate neurotransmission. Is involved in the cell surface targeting of NMDA receptors.

Product Notes

The NR1 grin1 (Catalog #AAA6241541) is an Antibody produced from Mouse and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The NR1, CT (NMDA (N-methyl-D-aspartate) Receptor subunit NR1) (AP) reacts with Rat and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's NR1 can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Immunocytochemistry (ICC), Immunoprecipitation (IP), Western Blot (WB). WB: Do not boil the microsomal preparation. Incubate at RT for 30-45 minutes. Applications are based on unconjugated antibody. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the NR1 grin1 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "NR1, Monoclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
