Uniprot Description

neurogenin 1: Acts as a transcriptional regulator. Involved in the initiation of neuronal differentiation. Activates transcription by binding to the E box (5'-CANNTG-3'). Associates with chromatin to enhancer regulatory elements in genes encoding key transcriptional regulators of neurogenesis.

Protein type: DNA-binding; Cell development/differentiation; Transcription factor

Chromosomal Location of Human Ortholog: 5q23-q31

Cellular Component: perikaryon; nucleus

Molecular Function: protein dimerization activity; DNA binding; chromatin binding; transcription factor activity

Biological Process: regulation of transcription from RNA polymerase II promoter; neuron differentiation; nervous system development; inner ear morphogenesis; cell fate commitment; transcription, DNA-dependent; positive regulation of transcription factor activity; positive regulation of transcription from RNA polymerase II promoter; positive regulation of neuron differentiation; positive regulation of exit from mitosis

Product Notes

The NEUROG1 neurog1 (Catalog #AAA6002344) is an Antibody produced from Mouse and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The NEUROG1 (Neurogenin 1, Neurogenin-1, NGN-1, Class A Basic Helix-loop-helix Protein 6, bHLHa6, Neurogenic Basic-helix-loop-helix Protein, Neurogenic Differentiation Factor 3, NeuroD3, BHLHA6, NEUROD3, NGN, NGN1) reacts with Human and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's NEUROG1 can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, ELISA (EL/EIA), Western Blot (WB), Immunofluorescence (IF). Suitable for use in Immunofluorescence, ELISA and Western Blot. Dilution: Immunofluorescence: 50ug/ml. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the NEUROG1 neurog1 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. The amino acid sequence is listed below: SEALLHSLRR SRRVKANDRE RNRMHNLNAA LDALRSVLPS FPDDTKLTKI ETLRFAYNYI WALAETLRLA DQGLPGGGAR ER. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "NEUROG1, Monoclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
