NCBI and Uniprot Product Information
NCBI Description
Chondroitin sulfate (CS) is a glycosaminoglycan which is an important structural component of the extracellular matrix and which links to proteins to form proteoglycans. Chondroitin sulfate E (CS-E) is an isomer of chondroitin sulfate in which the C-4 and C-6 hydroxyl groups are sulfated. This gene encodes a type II transmembrane glycoprotein that acts as a sulfotransferase to transfer sulfate to the C-6 hydroxal group of chondroitin sulfate. This gene has also been identified as being co-expressed with RAG1 in B-cells and as potentially acting as a B-cell surface signaling receptor. Alternative splicing results in multiple transcript variants encoding distinct isoforms. [provided by RefSeq, Jul 2012]
Uniprot Description
CHST15: Sulfotransferase that transfers sulfate from 3'- phosphoadenosine 5'-phosphosulfate (PAPS) to the C-6 hydroxyl group of the GalNAc 4-sulfate residue of chondroitin sulfate A and forms chondroitin sulfate E containing GlcA-GalNAc(4,6-SO(4)) repeating units. It also transfers sulfate to a unique non- reducing terminal sequence, GalNAc(4SO4)-GlcA(2SO4)-GalNAc(6SO4), to yield a highly sulfated structure similar to the structure found in thrombomodulin chondroitin sulfate. May also act as a B- cell receptor involved in BCR ligation-mediated early activation that mediate regulatory signals key to B-cell development and/or regulation of B-cell-specific RAG expression; however such results are unclear in vivo. Belongs to the sulfotransferase 1 family. 2 isoforms of the human protein are produced by alternative splicing.

The CHST15 chst15 (Catalog #AAA602855) is an Antibody produced from Mouse and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The N-Acetylgalactosamine 4 Sulfate 6-O-Sulfotransferase (GalNAc4S-6ST) reacts with Human and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's N-Acetylgalactosamine 4 Sulfate 6-O-Sulfotransferase can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, ELISA (EL/EIA), Western Blot (WB). Suitable for use in Direct ELISA and Western Blot. Dilution: Direct ELISA: 0.5-1.0ug/ml detection limit for rhGaINAc4S-6ST is ~ 10ng/well. Western Blot: 1-2ug/ml detection limit for rhGaINAc4S-6ST is ~ 5ng/lane under non-reducing and reducing conditions. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the CHST15 chst15 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "N-Acetylgalactosamine 4 Sulfate 6-O-Sulfotransferase, Monoclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.Precautions
