Related Product Information for anti-CHRM4 antibody
The muscarinic cholinergic receptors belong to a larger family of G protein-coupled receptors. The functional diversity of these receptors is defined by the binding of acetylcholine and includes cellular responses such as adenylate cyclase inhibition, phosphoinositide degeneration, and potassium channel mediation. Muscarinic receptors influence many effects of acetylcholine in the central and peripheral nervous system.

NCBI Description

The muscarinic cholinergic receptors belong to a larger family of G protein-coupled receptors. The functional diversity of these receptors is defined by the binding of acetylcholine and includes cellular responses such as adenylate cyclase inhibition, phosphoinositide degeneration, and potassium channel mediation. Muscarinic receptors influence many effects of acetylcholine in the central and peripheral nervous system. The clinical implications of this receptor are unknown; however, mouse studies link its function to adenylyl cyclase inhibition. [provided by RefSeq]

Uniprot Description

mAChR M4: The muscarinic acetylcholine receptor mediates various cellular responses, including inhibition of adenylate cyclase, breakdown of phosphoinositides and modulation of potassium channels through the action of G proteins. Primary transducing effect is inhibition of adenylate cyclase. Belongs to the G-protein coupled receptor 1 family. Muscarinic acetylcholine receptor subfamily. CHRM4 sub-subfamily.

Protein type: Membrane protein, integral; Membrane protein, multi-pass; GPCR, family 1; Receptor, GPCR

Chromosomal Location of Human Ortholog: 11p12-p11.2

Cellular Component: postsynaptic membrane; integral to plasma membrane; plasma membrane; cell junction

Molecular Function: G-protein coupled acetylcholine receptor activity

Biological Process: regulation of locomotion; cell proliferation; acetylcholine receptor signaling, muscarinic pathway; cell surface receptor linked signal transduction; muscarinic acetylcholine receptor, adenylate cyclase inhibiting pathway; signal transduction

Product Notes

The CHRM4 chrm4 (Catalog #AAA603278) is an Antibody produced from Mouse and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The Muscarinic Receptor M4 (Cholinergic Muscarinic Receptor M4, Chrm4) reacts with Human, Monkey, Rat and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's Muscarinic Receptor M4 can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Western Blot (WB), Immunoprecipitation (IP), Immunohistochemistry (IHC). Suitable for use in Western Blot, Immunoprecipitation and Immunohistochemistry. Dilution: Western Blot: Transfected CHO cell lines Optimal dilutions to be determined by researcher. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the CHRM4 chrm4 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "Muscarinic Receptor M4, Monoclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
