Purified by Protein A affinity chromatography.
Dilution: Western Blot: 1:2000-1:10,000. Detects phosphorylated MEK1/2 in RIPA lysates from PC-12 cells that had been treated with 5u of B-Raf for 30 minutes at 30 degree C. Untreated and B-Raf phosphorylated PC-12 cell lysate was resolved by electrophoresis, transferred to nitrocellulose and probed with M2865-10B (1:5000) or Pab Rb anti-Mouse MEK1, NT (Map Kinase Kinase) (M2865-07) (1:1000). Proteins were visualized using a goat anti-rabbit secondary IgG labeled with HRP and a chemiluminescence detection system.
NCBI and Uniprot Product Information
Uniprot Description
MEK2: a dual-specificity protein kinase of the STE7 kinase family. Phosphorylated and activated by Raf and Mos kinases. Phosphorylates a Thr and a Tyr residue in a Thr-Glu-Tyr sequence located in the activation loop of ERK2 and ERK3. A component of MAP kinase signal transduction pathways involved in mitogen growth factor signal transduction.

Product Notes
The Map2k2 map2k2 (Catalog #AAA604178) is an Antibody produced from Rabbit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The MEK1, MEK2, phosphorylated (Ser218/222, Ser222/226) (MAPK/ERK Kinase 1, MEK 1, Dual Specificity Mitogen-activated Protein Kinase Kinase 1, MAP Kinase Kinase 1, MAP2K1, MAPKK 1, MKK1, PRKMK1, ERK Activator Kinase 1 / MAPK/ERK Kinase 2, Dual Specificity Mit reacts with Human, Mouse, Rat and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's MEK1, MEK2 can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Western Blot (WB). Suitable for use in Western Blot. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the Map2k2 map2k2 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "MEK1, MEK2, Monoclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.Precautions
