Uniprot Description

Function: Catalyzes the polymerization of lipoteichoic acid (LTA) polyglycerol phosphate, a reaction that presumably uses phosphatidylglycerol (PG) as substrate. Is required for staphylococcal growth and cell division process. Ref.2

Pathway: Cell wall biogenesis; lipoteichoic acid biosynthesis.

Subcellular location: Cell membrane; Multi-pass membrane protein

Potential Ref.3. Processed glycerol phosphate lipoteichoic acid synthase: Secreted Ref.3.

Induction: Less protein is secreted in a secG or double secG/secY2 mutant (at protein level). Ref.3

Post-translational modification: Proteolytically cleaved

Probable.

Sequence similarities: Belongs to the LTA synthase family.

Product Notes

The SAOUHSC_00728 ltas (Catalog #AAA641831) is an Antibody produced from Mouse and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. AAA Biotech's Lipoteichoic Acid can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, ELISA (EL/EIA), Immunofluorescence (IF). Suitable for use in Immunofluorescence, ELISA and Conjugation. Dilution: Immunofluorescence: 1:10-1:50 ELISA: 1:20-1:200. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the SAOUHSC_00728 ltas for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "Lipoteichoic Acid, Monoclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
