Related Product Information for anti-LILRA5 antibody
ILT11 is a 39-40kD Group 2 member of the LILR family of innate immune receptors. It is expressed on monocytes and perhaps neutrophils, and its activation results in the secretion of pro-inflammatory cytokines, such as TNF-A and IL-1B. Mature human ILT11 is a 258aa type I transmembrane glycoprotein. It has a 227aa extracellular domain aa42-268 that contains two C2 type Ig-like domains aa51-136 and 142-230, and a 10aa cytoplasmic tail. ILT11 has three potential splice forms. One is a 35kD soluble form of the molecule described above that shows a 27aa substitution for aa239-299. The other two splice forms are analogous to the above membrane and soluble forms, but demonstrate signal sequence cleavage further downstream after Ala51. Over aa41-268, human ILT11 shares 58%aa identity with mouse LIR-9.

NCBI Description

The protein encoded by this gene is a member of the leukocyte immunoglobulin-like receptor (LIR) family. LIR family members are known to have activating and inibitory functions in leukocytes. Crosslink of this receptor protein on the surface of monocytes has been shown to induce calcium flux and secretion of several proinflammatory cytokines, which suggests the roles of this protein in triggering innate immune responses. This gene is one of the leukocyte receptor genes that form a gene cluster on the chromosomal region 19q13.4. Four alternatively spliced transcript variants encoding distinct isoforms have been described. [provided by RefSeq, Jul 2008]

Uniprot Description

LILRA5: May play a role in triggering innate immune responses. Does not seem to play a role for any class I MHC antigen recognition. 4 isoforms of the human protein are produced by alternative splicing

Chromosomal Location of Human Ortholog: 19q13.4

Cellular Component: integral to membrane

Biological Process: innate immune response

Product Notes

The LILRA5 lilra5 (Catalog #AAA6013492) is an Antibody produced from Mouse and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The LILRA5 (Leukocyte Immunoglobulin-like Receptor Subfamily A Member 5, CD85 Antigen-like Family Member F, Immunoglobulin-like Transcript 11, ILT-11, Leukocyte Immunoglobulin-like Receptor 9, LIR-9, CD85f, ILT11, LILRB7, LIR9) (PE) reacts with Human and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's LILRA5 can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Flow Cytometry (FC/FACS). Suitable for use in Flow Cytometry. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the LILRA5 lilra5 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "LILRA5, Monoclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
