Testing Data (Fig.1: FACS analysis of BOSC23 cells using BBX-1H1 Cat.# GM- 0606. BOSC23 cells were transiently transfected with an expression vector encoding either LGR4-hum (red curve), LGR4-murine (blue curve) or an irrelevant protein (control transfectant: black curve). Binding of BBX-3A8 was detected with a PE-conjugated secondary antibody. A positive signal was obtained only with LGR4-hum transfected cells.)

Related Product Information for anti-LGR4 antibody
Background: LGR4 (Leucine-rich repeat- containing G protein-coupled receptor 4) belongs to the superfamily of G protein-coupled receptors (GPCRs). It is a 951 amino acid multi-pass membrane protein and has multiple N-terminal leucine-rich repeats, which are important for interaction with the glycoprotein ligands, and 7 transmembrane domains (1,3). LGR4 is highly expressed in the adult human pancreas but also with moderate levels of expression in placenta, kidney, brain and heart (2). LGR4 functions as an orphan receptor that may be involved in physiologic activities throughout the cell. It is overexpressed in various cancer types and is thought to enhance carcinoma invasiveness and metastasis, suggesting an important role in tumor progression.

NCBI Description

G protein-coupled receptors (GPCRs) play key roles in a variety of physiologic functions. Members of the leucine-rich GPCR (LGR) family, such as GPR48, have multiple N-terminal leucine-rich repeats (LRRs) and a 7-transmembrane domain (Weng et al., 2008 [PubMed 18424556]).[supplied by OMIM, Aug 2008]

Uniprot Description

LGR4: a leucine-rich repeat-containing G-protein-coupled receptor. Receptor for R-spondins, potent stimulators of adult stem cell proliferation. A Wnt receptor component that enhances Wnt signaling by soluble R-spondin proteins. Plays an essential role during homeostasis of the adult mouse intestine.

Product Notes

The LGR4 lgr4 (Catalog #AAA468010) is an Antibody produced from Rat and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The Anti-LGR4 (GPR48) monoclonal antibody reacts with Human and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's LGR4 can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Flow Cytometry (FC/FACS), CELISA. Flow Cytometry: 1.2 ug/10^6 cells CELISA: 1:200 - 1:400. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the LGR4 lgr4 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "LGR4, Monoclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
