Related Product Information for anti-XRCC6 antibody
The Ku autoantigen is a heterodimer of 70kD (p70) and ~80kD (p80) proteins. The p70/p80 dimer is important for function of a 460kD DNAdependent protein kinase that phosphorylates certain transcription factors, including Sp1, Oct-1, p53, and SV40 large T antigen in vitro. Ku protein plays a role in cell signaling, proliferation, DNA repair, replication, transcriptional activation, and apoptosis.

NCBI Description

The p70/p80 autoantigen is a nuclear complex consisting of two subunits with molecular masses of approximately 70 and 80 kDa. The complex functions as a single-stranded DNA-dependent ATP-dependent helicase. The complex may be involved in the repair of nonhomologous DNA ends such as that required for double-strand break repair, transposition, and V(D)J recombination. High levels of autoantibodies to p70 and p80 have been found in some patients with systemic lupus erythematosus. [provided by RefSeq, Jul 2008]

Uniprot Description

Product Notes

The XRCC6 xrcc6 (Catalog #AAA602472) is an Antibody produced from Mouse and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The immunogen sequence is 506-541. The Ku, p70 reacts with Hamster, Human, Monkey, Mouse, Xenopus and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's Ku, p70 can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Western Blot (WB), Immunoprecipitation (IP), Immunohistochemistry (IHC), Immunofluorescence (IF). Dilution: Immunofluorescence Immunoprecipitation (Native and denatured) (Use Protein A) (Ab 2ug/mg protein lysate) Western Blotting (0.25-0.5ug/ml for 2hrs at RT) Immunohistochemistry (Formalinparaffin) (Ab 1-2ug/ml for 30 minute at RT) * [Staining of formalin-fixed tissues is IMPROVED by boiling tissue sections in 10mM citrate buffer, pH 6.0, for 10-20 min followed by cooling at RT for 20 min.] The optimal dilution for a specific application should be determined by the investigator. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the XRCC6 xrcc6 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "Ku, p70, Monoclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
